MY NEW SHIRT SMELLS LIKE VINEGAR. IS THAT NORMAL?

No worries - this smell is completely normal.  Nonie and Sam’s t shirts are made using the direct-to-garment (DTG) process. With this print process, the print area is pre-treated with a water-based, eco-friendly solution that is harmless and smells similar to diluted vinegar, which helps the ink bond with the fabric.  Most of this evaporates during the curing process, but a hint of vinegar can remain. The first wash will remove the smell completely.

 

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY SHIRT?

We recommend turning your garment inside out, and machine-washed in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not use bleach, fabric softeners, or dry clean.  To minimize shrinkage, we recommend letting your shirt air dry on a sturdy hanger, or you can tumble dry on low.  When it comes to ironing, use a cool iron with your garment inside-out.  Do not iron on design or words.

 

 HOW DO I KNOW IF I'M CHOOSING THE RIGHT COLOR?

When shopping on the product pages, ensure you choose the size prior to choosing the color.  Once the size is chosen, the t-shirt on the model should display the chosen color.  

 

WHEN SHOULD I EXPECT MY PURCHASE?

Nonie and Sam currently use a DTG process, which are print-on-demand items, and all in-stock orders typically ship within 2-7 business days via USPS mail. (COVID may impact wait times; they may be longer than normal). You should receive an email once your item has shipped along with tracking information.

Shipping time depends on product availability and delivery destination.  Estimated shipping time for your region:

United States: 5-11 business days

International Orders: Up to 20 business days

 

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY? 

Yes!  Nonie and Sam is based in the United States, but we also ship internationally via USPS. You may incur import duties or other customs fees depending on your country of residence. We can't keep track of these, and are not responsible if your order gets held up in customs. We ship to these countries/zones:

Australia & New Zealand

Brazil

Canada

Europe

Japan

For now, we cannot ship to Cuba, Iran, Crimea, Syria, and North Korea.  This list may change periodically.
